Research & Development: Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering

Ramtin Lotfabadi's research focus is on Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering, revolving around the design and development of predictive psychophysiological biofeedback systems for Resilience and Mental Toughness training, attenuation of injurious stress and the design of immersive and interactive Cognitive Training Simulation Systems for the prevention of Traumatic Psychological Injury, Moral Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Ramtin is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Purdue University, School of Applied and Creative Computing. He has led cross-disciplinary program and curricular development, and taught at a number of Canadian comprehensive research universities and polytechnic colleges, including the University of Toronto, OCAD University, Sheridan College and Conestoga College. His teaching portfolio includes courses on human factors and cognitive engineering methods, systems modeling and design, applied research methods, foundational programming, mathematics for applied computing.
